Farron is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of British Columbia, as well as a member of the BC and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. He is also a member of the BC Balance and Dizziness Society and Vestibular Disorders Association.
Farron has experience in a number of clinical settings including public health (orthopaedics, acute neurology and outpatient rehabilitation) as well as private practice and occupational rehabilitation. His primary practice has focused on treating musculoskeletal injuries and he has specialized in treating those patients with vestibular (inner ear) injuries as well as mild traumatic brain injuries (i.e. concussion). Farron’s treatment focuses on using exercise therapy, hands on techniques, education and specific visual training techniques to help his patients maximize their function. And YES, he does perform the Epley Maneuver!
When not treating patients, Farron works as a mentor to new physiotherapists as a clinical preceptor in the UBC Department of Physical Therapy, and regularly supervises students in the clinic setting. In 2015, he was invited by the BC Association of Kinesiolgists to present on Vestibular Rehabilitation.
Away from the clinic, you may find Farron hitting the links at one of BC’s beautiful golf courses, training for the next Gran Fondo on his road bike or pounding the pavement on a run. Farron invites new and returning patients to experience what physiotherapy can do for you!
